It is a new year! Well, its the start of a year long journey for me… and you if you would like to join me. Go on, come along for the ride. Yesterday I started A-Doodle-A-Day project which will apparently take me through to Feb 28th 2011. Yow. Exciting stuff.

Speaking of exciting stuff, I have been catching up on Heroes season 4 and to be honest watching Heroes for me now is like when you cook yourself a really nice dinner but you make way too much so you have to eat the leftovers of that meal every day for the rest of the week. I just remember being so happy with that first dinner but now, on Thursday, at lunch I am really forcing myself to even open that tupperware container. I rarely talk about non-art stuff that I’m up to and I just wanted to share that rant with you. Now here is an awesome illustration from flickr.

I was in Wellington on the weekend doing some improv stuff and managed to get in a little bit of stickering, check out my latest adventure over on my flickr.

I just started listening to Flight of the Conchords again and have to admit that I’ve missed the guys pumping over my speakers.

Little update to go with the visual update. I’ll be hitting Wellington next week for a few days. Hopefully catching up with some old buddies and maybe slapping up some stickers if life treats me right. The is a 30 hour Improvathon on which I’m totally going to check out. I’ve been fooling round with an update to the my website but as per norm CSS hands me my ass. Fingers crossed I’ll get it up and running some time soon. Wow! Wow and thanks to everyone who made it along to End Of The Road. It was an awesome show to be a part of. I really liked the range of stuff that made it up on the walls. It was cool to be up with my man EDMO! again, we exhibited together for the Telling Tales exhibition back in 2007. Mostly I am just grateful that people stopped and looked and enjoyed and even took home my work. Really cool, thank you.

Big new too is that Don’t Be Sad is now back on sale. The first run disappeared in a couple of weeks so I did another print run. Due to printer issues it has taken a little while, BUT now they are all done and ready to go – looking better than ever. You can pick up a copy over at my shop site.

My first exhibition of 2010! Excitements. Makeshift (old friends) and Cross Street Studios (new friends) are putting on a group show next week featuring a bunch of artists. It will be a rocking show. The exhibition is ‘cash and carry’ too so thats fun. The show opens 28th Jan, 6pm at Cross Street Studios (27 Cross St, upstairs) and will be their last show in that space so make sure you come along and check it out.

In top Makeshift and Cross Street fashion the opening will feature homemade cupcakes and tasty drinks such as bambus. Yum. There is a full list of the artists involved over on Makeshift’s post about it, I’m happy to say that my old buddy EDMO! will be a part of it too.

Oh, and updating everyone on my zine ‘Don’t Be Sad’ – I approved the proof for its reprint yesterday so… Fingers crossed they will be printed and available online this weekend! Thanks to everyone who bought a copy of the last run, you rock.

I’m not going to talk much about 2009, other than I will miss being able to put the ‘00′ in the year when I write it. I’m probably not going to be able to do that ever again. It is dumbfounding how some things just slip away while we cling so hard to other things which really don’t matter all that much. 2009 was an amazing year, strongly made that way by the support of other people, just like you – person who is taking the time to read this paragraph. You rock. Thanks for taking the time and checking out my stuff, that is pretty awesome of you. You made my 2009.

I’ve dropped a bunch of new street art images up on flickr and also some new traveling photos which aren’t street art but they do look pretty.

I will do a proper ‘things to come’ type post when I have some idea about what things are to come, right now it is summer and I am swimming, drinking, drawing, playing video games, riding my bike and not thinking too much about the future… plenty of time for that when the weather isn’t so freaking amazing.

Wow! Just like that it all happened. Merry Christmas to everyone out there, having a freaking wonderful break and I’ll catch you all in the new year!
