Time to Paint
Time is on my side… some times. Not so much at the moment. I finished this canvas a little while ago and wanted to share. I have been cranking a lot of sketches and art recently but unfortunately for anyone interested my scanner is currently hidden in storage so all art still lives in the pages of my sketch book for the time being.
This week I was lucky enough to check out Tommy Ill’s set in Auckland, I am a huge fan of Mr Ill. If you are in Wellington then make sure you check out his gig in a couple weeks down there at Mighty Mighty.
It feels like Christmas is coming up already but I think we still have time to relax and enjoy whatever transitionally weather global warming is treating us to. It should be summer here in New Zealand but I am less than convinced, the place I’m staying has an amazing view but it also get all the wind that Auckland has to offer. Sitting in the sun drawing is not an option, boo.
I had my first street art session of summer the other night, just popping up stickers and doing some paint pen stuff but it was good to be out. Not the same to be hitting the streets without Team Sweet, since she headed back to the USA. The good news is that Auckland holds its street art well so there is plenty of her stuff still up and around. Still representing, like bread crumbs of street art sprinkled around.
Oh, big thanks to the people who have dropped me email notes recently, very cool to hear from people and know that my stuff is seen and enjoyed.
I’m going to see if I can finish this zine in time to send it to the Wellington Zinefest.
